Accents arepainted on the front and the sides.This birdhome is a blend ofbeautiful artistry and fullfunctionality. Created by anartist and a woodworker, the pieceis hand painted and sturdilyhandcrafted using solid woodconstruction. The soulfulcolors and designs are created usingnon-toxic water-based stains,paints, and finishes. For thebirds comfort, this house featuresdrainage holes to allow water toescape. The house alsoincludes ventilation openings underthe roof and a convenient side doorfor cleaning. This piece isfinished with three coats ofwater-based exterior polyurethane towithstand year-round outdooruse. Finally, the birdhome andis signed and dated by the artist.As these are handcrafted items,each piece will vary somewhat in thepattern of the details and in thecharacteristics of the wood.Care: Like all wooden outdoorfurnishings that are exposed to theelements, it should be expected thatthe wood will shrink and expandslightly and weathernaturally.
