Description:

Hydretain is a revolutionary new product designed to reduce the watering requirements of plants by slowing the evaporative loss of moisture from the soil. It is actually a blend of liquid organic humectant compounds with hygroscopic properties --- it is not another wetting agent, surfactant or super polymer crystal. Hydretain is capable of absorbing and storing many times its weight in water, by attracting and holding free water vapor molecules from the air within the soil matrix. The organic derivatives within the formula act in synergy to create a sub-surface film which absorbs and stores moisture as microscopic droplets on plant roots and soil particle surfaces.

Hydretain continually draws additional moisture through the soil, efficiently transferring it to the root zone of your plants, where significant moisture retention levels are needed most. The end result is increased effectiveness of not only irrigated watering, but natural precipitation (including dew and even humidity) as well. The times between watering of indoor and outdoor plants can thus be significantly extended, resulting in a drought resistant garden. Highly effective with container gardening, raised planter beds and persistent dry turf spots --- all of which are susceptible to excessive dryness.

Environmentally Safe

Hydretain is organic and fully biodegradable. It contains no phosphates, petrochemical derivatives or other toxic fractions which may cause ground water or runoff contamination. As an organic compound, Hydretain begins to break-down in approximately 60 to 90 days. Re-application every 60 to 90 days allows Hydretain to build up in the soil profile, providing even greater drought resistance with each application.

Grass and Lawn Turf - 9 ounces per 1,000 sq. ft. diluted in 3 to 5 gallons of water
Flowers, Shrubs, Garden - 2 oz. per gallon of water (300:1 to 50:1)
